Restaurant Review: Arthur’s Theme, Koregaon Park, Pune

Date of Visit : 24th December, 2015

After being on the bucket-list for a long time, finally happened to visit the place one fine evening. The occasion was to celebrate my own birthday with my spouse.

They have got a very beautifully designed ambiance along-with outdoor seating option as well. The outdoor seating can be little noisy hence I personally will not give preference for outdoor seating. The other nice thing is to have availability of valet parking in busy KP lane.

The first visit was pretty impressive to lure enough for another. The only odd but minor thing was some of the serving did not slightly aligned with the naming, the preparation although excellent.

Sangria: The most impressive part of the mocktail was used of finely and consistently chopped apple pieces used for preparation.  The use of apple cubes gave the sangria a very good additive texture and flavor.

Karl II: Sauteed Spinach and Corn stuffed to prepare the croquettes. Croquettes were shallow fried, no oil reflects in the serving and the croquettes served were pretty soft and delicate. No spices added whilst sauteing spinach and corn hence the croquettes themselves get a little bland. But with the special sauce served alongside, salsa which is on a little sweeter side, the combination really works well for the taste buds. Very good veg preparation to try out for.

Alexia: Prawns wrapped inside chicken and the preparation grilled very nicely, conserving juiciness of the flesh was indeed impressive. The preparation is referred to be tossed in a spicy sauce, but not really spicy per-se. The stuffed prawns however, as stated in the menu, did not seemed to be marinated or the marination was inferior. That was to be the only flip side of the dish, not in terms of preparation, only in terms of what one would expect while ordering it on reading from the menu.

Queen Marchell: Another very succulent veg treat which vaguely deviates with the naming. The mushrooms were very soft and topped, rather than stuffed as referred to in the menu, using cottage cheese and herbs. Very delicate preparation which one must definitely try for.

Rosa : The serving tops Penne with white sauce, not sautted or mixed. The white cheese sauce was very well prepared. For the price tag the portion served is very less.
