Seasonal Tastes at Westin is organising a goan good fiesta. For those who have visited Goa know very well that Goa is not only recognised by beaches, churches, scenic beauty only, but the unique and lip-smacking cuisine which the place offers to visitors. Chef Selester from Marriott, Goa is in Westin, Pune to prepare goan food for foodies in the city.
Goan cuisine is just incomplete without the Rawa Fry. Both prawns and fish variants, of rawa fry are definitely on the menu.
Another well known entity, Fish Recheado is also being served. I found it a little overloaded with masala to my comfort, otherwise well prepared.
In the mains, it was Crab Xec Xec, Chicken Cafreal, Goan Mushroom Chilly Fry and Pork Sausage. Both Crab Xec Xec and Chicken Cafreal were excellently done. Crab Xec Xec, cocnut based gravy, comes pared with goan rice.
The Goan Mushroom Chilly Fry was surprisingly spicy 😉 yet flavorful.
The Goan Pork Sausage, served with Pao, was also delicious, the pork however was a touch stiff.
The desserts included Bebinca, Dodol and Coconut Burfi.
I will not call myself and expert in goan cuisine, but as a foodiee I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of food prepared and served by Chef Selester. So if you are inclined towards goan cuisine, you must definitely not miss this festival.
